Presale & Discounts
Set up or change a product presale
Allow early orders for a product or variant by choosing its presale dates, price, and quantity limits. Set the product’s release schedule before creating the presale.
Before you start
- Presale & Discounts → Presales
- You need product view permission to read presales and product update permission to save changes.
- Assign the product or variant to a warehouse, then enable its Release Schedule and set a release date in Products.
What success looks like
- The selected product or variant has a saved presale with the dates, price, and limits you chose.
Quick start
Choose the task you need. Each task has its own steps.
Create a presale
- 1In Products, assign the product or variant to a warehouse. Enable its Release Schedule and set a release date before starting the presale.
- 2Open Presales, click New presale, and search by product name, SKU, or barcode.
- 3Select the product or a specific variant. Product settings apply to its variants unless a variant has its own presale settings.
- 4Enter Presale price, or leave it blank to use the regular selling price.
- 5Set Limit per customer, Units available during presale, Starts, and Ends. Add a Storefront note if customers need additional information.
- 6Leave Enabled on to allow orders during the selected dates, then click Create presale.
- 7Find the presale in the list and check its status. You can search by product, variant, SKU, or barcode.
Edit or stop a presale
- 1Open Presales, find the product or variant, and click Edit. Check that you selected the intended level before making changes.
- 2Change the price, limits, ordering dates or Storefront note. To stop early orders and retain the settings, turn Enabled off. Click Save changes.
- 3Reopen the presale and check the saved settings and status. Use Cancel to close an edit without saving. If the response is interrupted, check the saved presale before submitting again.
How this area works
Reference information for the choices on this page.
Fields and options
- Limit per customer: Limits orders from the same customer by counting their previous storefront orders.
- Units available during presale: Sets the maximum early-sale quantity across POS and the storefront. Leave it blank to use available stock plus confirmed incoming stock.
- Starts / Ends: Sets when customers can place presale orders. The dates must fit the product’s release schedule.
- Storefront note: Adds information customers can see about the presale.
Troubleshooting
Choose the symptom that matches what you see.
The product cannot be selected
Check that the product or variant belongs to a warehouse and has an enabled Release Schedule with a release date. Select the intended product or separately scheduled variant.
Customers cannot order an enabled presale
Check the start and end dates, release date, remaining allowance, available and confirmed incoming stock, and sales-channel settings.
Staff cannot fulfill a presale order
Open the product’s Release Schedule and check Do not fulfill presale orders before release. This setting holds fulfillment until the release time.
The product search could not load
Refresh the product search. A failed request does not mean the product is missing. Keep the search text and try again when the service is available.
The save response was interrupted
Close the editor and reload Presales to check the current saved settings before trying again. Do not assume the request made no change.
