Point of Sale
Hold, resume, delete, or clear a POS cart
Save an unfinished cart for later, reopen it, or discard it while choosing what happens to transferred stock.
Before you start
- Dashboard → Point of Sale → MintLGS POS
- Your account needs permission to take POS payments. Discounts, transaction history, refunds, station settings, and cash-drawer actions may require additional permissions.
What success looks like
- A held cart remains available in Orders until it is resumed or deleted. When you discard a cart containing transferred stock, your choice determines whether that stock stays or returns.
Quick start
The shortest path through this area.
- 1To save the current unfinished cart, click Hold in Current Sale. On a small screen, open Cart & Checkout first. To reopen an already held cart, start at Orders.
- 2To reopen a cart, click Orders in the POS header and select the held order or kiosk request.
- 3Review its items and transfer details, then click Import to Cart. Check the imported cart before taking payment.
- 4To delete a pending cart, click Delete. A cart with no tracked stock transfers is removed immediately. If Delete held order? appears for transferred stock, choose Delete Only to keep that stock at its current location, or Return Stock + Delete to return it.
- 5To discard the active cart, click Clear. If Return transferred stock? appears, select Keep Stock Here or Return Stock and Clear.
- 6Check that the cart has been reopened or removed. If you returned stock, check the transfer result too.
Troubleshooting
Choose the symptom that matches what you see.
The held order is missing
Check the store account and pending-order list before creating a replacement.
A stock return failed
Read the error and check the transfer record and quantities at both locations before making another stock adjustment.
