Bring stock from another location into a POS sale
Move stock from another location into the current POS location so it can be added to the sale.
Before you start
- Dashboard → Point of Sale → MintLGS POS
- Your account needs permission to take POS payments. Discounts, transaction history, refunds, station settings, and cash-drawer actions may require additional permissions.
What success looks like
- MintLGS records the transfer and adds the selected quantity to the current sale at the destination location.
Quick start
The shortest path through this area.
- 1Search for the item in SELL mode, then click Check stock at other locations.
- 2Under Available at Other Locations, select the item you need.
- 3In Request Transfer, select the source location under Transfer from. Choose the condition for a single and enter the quantity.
- 4Check that the source and destination are correct, then submit the transfer.
- 5Wait for Transfer Complete. Check that the item appears in Current Sale and that the transfer message shows the expected locations and quantity.
- 6If you later remove the item or clear the cart, read Return transferred stock?. Choose whether to return the stock to its source or Keep Stock Here.
Troubleshooting
Choose the symptom that matches what you see.
Other warehouses could not be checked
Retry the availability check. A failed check is not proof that the other locations have no stock.
I cleared the cart but the stock stayed here
The return prompt distinguishes clearing the cart from reversing the transfer. Check whether Keep Stock Here was selected.
