Products
Create and edit a product with variants
Create a variable product with multiple options, such as colors or artwork. Give each option its own barcode, price, images and stock. Save the product, then set its default variant.
Before you start
- Dashboard → Inventory → Products
- Your account needs permission to view products. Creating, updating, and deleting them require the corresponding product permissions.
What success looks like
- The product contains the saved options, each with its own stock, price, and checkout identifiers.
Quick start
The shortest path through this area.
- 1Open Products and select a product type and warehouse. Click Add Product → Variable product, or open an existing variable product.
- 2Enter the main product name. Expand the first blank option and enter its Product Name, Sell Price and Stock. Add a Selector Label and barcode if needed. Use Add Variant for each additional option, with its own details, price and stock.
- 3Review Release Schedule and Sales Channels, then click Create or Update. Reopen the product and check each option’s saved details, price and warehouse stock.
- 4Open Variant Config to set the Variant Group Name, Variant Selector Type and Choice label. To choose a specific Default Variant, save the product and reopen it first. Select the default, arrange Variant Order if needed, then click Update.
- 5Each option can also have its own Brand, SKU, Description, images, MSRP, Low Stock Alert, Unlimited Stock and sales-channel settings. Release Schedule supports a shared date or separate dates for individual options. Save further edits with Update.
- 6Cancel discards ordinary unsaved form changes. A change made with Save barcode is saved immediately and is not undone by Cancel.

Fields and options
- Selector Label: The short option label shoppers use to choose a version.
- Variant Selector Type: Dropdown, Buttons, Color Swatches, or Image Swatches.
- Default Variant: The option selected initially; First available variant lets availability determine it.
- Variant Order: The order in which shoppers see the options.
Troubleshooting
Choose the symptom that matches what you see.
I cannot choose a specific default option
First save the product, then reopen it. In Variant Config, select the saved option under Default Variant and click Update.
One option has an error
Expand the option marked with an error badge and check its required fields before saving again.
Only some options are available
Check each option’s stock, channel overrides, and release-date override. Parent settings do not erase an option’s separate values.
