Store Settings
Change store information and catalog sorting
Update the store name, enter a tax rate, and choose the storefront catalog’s default sort order.
Before you start
- Settings → Store Settings
- Your account needs Store Settings: View permission to open this page and Change settings permission to save changes. Account and billing actions depend on your account’s access.
What success looks like
- The saved name, tax rate, and default sort appear when you reopen Store Settings.
Quick start
The shortest path through this area.
- 1Open Store Settings and find Store Information.
- 2Change Store Name, Tax Rate (%), or Default storefront catalog sort as needed. The sort choices cover name, price, newest, and oldest.
- 3Click Save Changes and wait for Saved!, then reload Store Settings to check the saved values.
- 4Open the storefront catalog to check its default order. Visitors can choose a different sort without changing your default.

Important details
- Enter Tax Rate (%) as a percentage. This guide does not determine which rate your store is required to use.
- Store URL shows your current storefront address. Changing Store Name does not change that address.
Troubleshooting

I cannot save changes
Check that your account has Change settings permission.
I need to change shipping or payment methods
Use Shipping & Fulfillment to open order settings, or Payment Setup to configure payment providers.
