Orders
Import tracking numbers from a CSV
Upload a CSV of tracking numbers and check that each row matches the correct order.
Before you start
- Orders → Ready to Ship → Import Tracking CSV
- Your account needs permission to update transactions.
What success looks like
- The import applies ready rows to their matching orders and reports any rows that need attention.
Quick start
The shortest path through this area.
- 1In Ready to Ship, click Import Tracking CSV and download the Example CSV. Use its Order Number, Tracking Number, and optional Carrier headers to prepare your file.
- 2Select your CSV and review the preview. Check each order number, carrier, tracking number, and row status. Correct invalid or unmatched rows in the file and upload it again.
- 3Click Import 1 Tracking Number, or the same button showing your ready-row count. This imports the ready rows and marks those orders shipped; it does not purchase a shipping label.
- 4Read the result for each order. Some orders need attention means the import has unresolved or skipped rows. Shipped and Already shipped rows do not need another import. Close the result and check the saved tracking in Orders before correcting and uploading only the remaining rows.
Troubleshooting
Choose the symptom that matches what you see.
An order is not ready
Read the preview’s Status message. Check the order number and whether the order is ready to receive tracking.
The file has mixed results
Read each order’s result under Some orders need attention. Not submitted rows were skipped; Not ready to ship rows need their order status checked. Close the result and check the orders before correcting the remaining rows. Do not upload successfully shipped rows again.
The import failed or the result is unclear
Keep the file and check the matching orders first; tracking may have saved even if an error appeared. If an order is already shipped with the correct tracking, leave it as it is. Correct and upload only rows that still need tracking, then review the new result.
