Point of Sale
Open sealed stock to complete a POS sale
Convert available sealed stock into the loose products needed for a sale.
Before you start
- Dashboard → Point of Sale → MintLGS POS
- Your account needs permission to take POS payments. Discounts, transaction history, refunds, station settings, and cash-drawer actions may require additional permissions.
What success looks like
- The sealed quantity decreases, the loose quantity increases, and the requested products appear in the cart.
Quick start
The shortest path through this area.
- 1Add the product to the cart or increase its quantity.
- 2If Open sealed stock for this sale? appears, select the package and source location.
- 3If no suitable package is available locally, use the other-location check when it is offered.
- 4Review Inventory after this action. Now, After opening, and After sale show how quantities will change. Opening the package updates inventory immediately, before checkout is complete.
- 5Click Open stock and add to open the package and add the displayed quantity to the cart. Click Do not open to cancel.
- 6Check the cart and continue checkout. If you entered the opening by mistake, review the available undo action in Packaging history.
Troubleshooting
Choose the symptom that matches what you see.
No opening option is offered
Check the available packaging rule, exact product or option, source stock, and location.
The customer cancels after the package was opened
Clearing a cart does not make a physically opened package sealed again. Use Packaging history only to undo an entry mistake when the system permits it.
