Review receipt history or void a mistaken receipt

Undo a mistaken delivery receipt or an incorrect received quantity without deleting the purchase order.

Before you start

  • Purchasing → Receive deliveries → Receipt history; or purchase order → Receipts
  • Your account needs permission to void purchasing records.

What success looks like

  • A successful reversal marks the receipt voided and removes the inventory it added. The original receipt remains in the history.

Quick start

The shortest path through this area.

  1. 1Open Receipt history and search by receipt, PO, or supplier. Narrow the results by supplier, location, or received date if needed.
  2. 2Open the related order, select Deliveries, and find the receipt under Receipts.
  3. 3Click Void receipt and enter the Required reason.
  4. 4Review the reversal, then click Void and reverse inventory. Click Keep receipt to cancel.
  5. 5Wait for confirmation, then check the receipt status, received quantities on the order, and inventory at the destination.

Troubleshooting

Choose the symptom that matches what you see.

Will voiding the receipt delete my order?

No. Void receipt reverses that receipt’s inventory and received quantities. The purchase order and the original receipt remain in history. Review the updated quantities before entering a corrected receipt.

The void is rejected

Read the error and check whether the stock has changed since the receipt. Confirm the receipt’s current status before making any manual reversal.

The receipt disappeared from a filtered list

Review the history view and date/location filters; voided receipts remain part of receipt history.
