Purchasing
Replace an internal barcode from a purchase order
Add an official barcode or generate an internal one directly from a product’s purchase-order line.
Before you start
- Purchasing → Purchase orders → select an order → product barcode control
- Your account needs permission to update products.
What success looks like
- The product or option saves the barcode for use on labels and at checkout.
Quick start
The shortest path through this area.
- 1Find the exact product or option on the purchase order.
- 2Click Replace with official UPC, Update UPC or barcode, or Add UPC or barcode.
- 3Enter the Official UPC or new barcode and click Save barcode. To create a MintLGS code instead, click Generate internal barcode.
- 4If MintLGS reports that the code is already assigned, review the conflicting product before changing anything.
- 5Check the saved barcode on the product. This updates the product immediately and does not depend on receiving the purchase order.
Troubleshooting
Choose the symptom that matches what you see.
Old internal labels still scan
MintLGS internal barcode aliases can continue working after the official code is saved. Review the barcode information in Products.
The code belongs to another product
Inspect the conflict and the exact product or shared UPC group before changing an assignment.
