Inventory Tools
Read import results, download failed rows, or restore a backup
Review an import, keep a copy of its failed rows or backup, and check recovery before changing inventory.
Before you start
- Inventory Tools → History
- You need permission to view imports to open History and download its files. Restoring a backup also requires permission to run imports.
What success looks like
- History shows the import outcome and available backup status. Downloads leave inventory unchanged. A successful restore applies the saved values and marks the backup Already Restored.
Quick start
Choose the task you need. Each task has its own steps.
Read import results
- 1Open Inventory Tools → History. Use Next page or Previous page to find an older import, then select its filename.
- 2Review the status, date, Import Configuration and Row Statistics. A partial import can have successful rows as well as rows that were not imported.
- 3Expand Rows Not Imported or Package Details Recognized when shown. Package detail rows describe items inside a package; they do not create extra stock.
- 4If History or its details cannot load, use Refresh history or Refresh details. A failed read does not mean the import or its backup is missing.
Download failed rows
- 1Open Inventory Tools → History and select the import. For failed rows, click Download Rows to Fix in Rows Not Imported.
- 2Open the downloaded file and review the failed rows. Correct them before importing them again; do not repeat successful additive rows. Downloading the file changes no stock.
Download a backup
- 1Open Inventory Tools → History and select the import. Under Backup & Restore, click Download Backup CSV.
- 2Open the downloaded file and check its contents. Keep this recovery snapshot separate from a normal inventory export. Downloading the file does not restore it or change inventory.
Review and restore a backup
- 1Open Inventory Tools → History, select the import and read Backup & Restore. Check the affected warehouses, snapshot contents, expiration and any later-import warning. Download Backup CSV if you need a copy.
- 2Click Restore Backup only if you intend to replace the affected inventory with its saved values. Review the affected count, then choose Restore or Cancel.
- 3Wait for the safety check. If newer changes are found, choose Restore Changed Rows only if you intend to overwrite them. Cancel leaves inventory unchanged.
- 4After success, reopen the import and check Already Restored. Review the affected inventory as well. Expired and already restored backups do not offer another restore.
- 5If the restore result cannot be confirmed, click Refresh backup status. If details still cannot load, use Refresh details. Check the current result before any new attempt; do not repeat the import as a substitute for recovery.
How this area works
Reference information for the choices on this page.
Important details
- A backup covers affected records, not the whole store. Consolidated backup rows can be fewer than successful CSV rows.
- Restoring can overwrite changes made after the snapshot, including later imports. Recent-history warnings may not list every later import.
Troubleshooting
Choose the symptom that matches what you see.
My import finished but quantities look wrong
Review the selected import’s configuration, successful rows, failed rows and package details. Check the affected inventory before importing the file again.
History or backup details will not load
Use the displayed refresh control. A failed request does not prove there is no import or no backup. If it keeps failing, contact support with the filename and date.
The restore response was interrupted
Use Refresh backup status before another attempt. If it shows Already Restored, review the inventory; do not restore or import again. If status cannot load, stop and contact support.
Restore Backup is not available
Check the backup status and your permission to run imports. Expired or already restored backups cannot be restored through this action. Not every import has a backup.
