Events

Create a series of repeating events

Generate separate events on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedule. After creation, you can open and edit each occurrence individually.

Before you start

  • Content → Events
  • You need Events: View permission to open events. Creating, editing, or canceling events requires the corresponding permission. Refunding a paid registration also requires Issue refunds.

What success looks like

  • MintLGS creates a separate event for each date in the series. Each has its own details and registrations.

Quick start

The shortest path through this area.

  1. 1Open the Create Event menu and select Create Repeating Event. Choose Create from scratch or Create from template, then enter the event details and first date.
  2. 2In Recurrence Settings, choose Weekly, Bi-weekly, or Monthly. Monthly currently uses 30-day intervals. Under Repeat Until, select Number of events or End date and enter the limit.
  3. 3Review the schedule, location, capacity, entry fee, and storefront signup setting, then click Create Events. Reopen the event list and check the dates of the separate saved events.
  4. 4For sanctioned events, open each occurrence and enter its own signup code, link, or instructions before making it public. Use the missing sanctioned-play information filter to find events still needing details.
  5. 5Edit an individual occurrence when only that date needs different details. A change to one occurrence does not update the whole series.

Troubleshooting

Choose the symptom that matches what you see.

The monthly dates move

The Monthly option currently creates events every 30 days, not on the same calendar date each month. Check the saved dates and edit individual occurrences if you need specific calendar dates.

The series stopped before all events were created

Check the event list and saved dates before creating another series. Some events may already have been saved. Contact support if the result is unclear; do not recreate the whole series without checking for duplicates.

The new events are hidden

Each sanctioned event needs its own signup details, including events created from a template or repeating schedule.

One date needs different details

Open that individual event and edit it. Do not assume an edit to one occurrence changes the entire series.
