Purchasing

Track an expected shipment and its manifest

Save a delivery’s tracking information and the product quantities expected in that shipment.

Before you start

  • Purchasing → Purchase orders → order → Expected shipments
  • Your account needs permission to view purchasing. Creating orders, editing them, marking them ordered, receiving deliveries, managing invoices or suppliers, voiding records, and exporting data have separate permissions.

What success looks like

  • The order shows the expected shipment with its tracking details and product quantities.

Quick start

The shortest path through this area.

  1. 1Open the order’s Deliveries tab. Under Expected shipments, click Add expected shipment or open a shipment to edit it.
  2. 2Choose Expected or In transit. Enter the Carrier, Tracking number, Expected arrival, and any Notes.
  3. 3Compare each product’s Requested and Confirmed quantities, then enter Expected in shipment.
  4. 4If the distributor’s confirmation has not been recorded, use Edit confirmations to add it.
  5. 5Click Save shipment.
  6. 6When the delivery arrives, select this Expected shipment in the receiving form. MintLGS uses its item quantities and updates its receiving status as receipts are posted.

How this area works

Reference information for the choices on this page.

Fields and options
  • Partially received / Received: These statuses are set by receiving rather than manually declaring stock arrived in the shipment editor.
  • Cancelled: Marks an expected shipment as canceled; check the order’s remaining quantities separately.

Troubleshooting

Choose the symptom that matches what you see.

The quantity is not allowed

Compare the requested and confirmed quantities with amounts already assigned to shipments or received. Read the validation message to find which quantity needs correction.

The shipment is not marked Received

Check whether any of its expected quantities remain outstanding after you posted the receipt.
