Payment Setup

Use Clover or PayPal when available

Connect Clover or PayPal if the provider is enabled for your account and payment channel.

Before you start

  • Sales → Payment Setup
  • Your account needs Payments: Manage setup permission to open and configure Payment Setup. Viewing cash-drawer activity requires Payments: View status.

What success looks like

  • The provider card shows whether the connection is active and which payment channel it supports.

Quick start

Choose the task you need. Each task has its own steps.

Connect Clover when available

  1. 1Open the payment channel and read the provider’s availability message. Setup controls may be hidden or disabled when that service is unavailable.
  2. 2For Clover, use Connect with Clover when authorization is offered. Select the returned merchant and, for supported in-store setup, the device; then Save & Activate.
  3. 3If the enabled Clover online setup asks for credentials, enter Merchant ID, Public Key, Private Key, and Platform API token in their matching fields and choose Save Clover Credentials.
  4. 4Choose the default for the channel only after Clover is active.

Connect PayPal when available

  1. 1Open Payment Setup, choose Online payments, and read PayPal’s availability message. Choose Connect with PayPal when offered and finish its authorization. Review the connected account email on return.
  2. 2If a legacy PayPal connection requires migration, follow the displayed reconnect instructions when the new connection is available.
  3. 3Choose the default for the channel only after PayPal is active.

Disconnect Clover or PayPal

  1. 1To remove an existing authorization, open its provider in Payment Setup, click Disconnect, read which connections will be removed, and confirm only if you intend to disconnect.

How this area works

Reference information for the choices on this page.

Important details
  • Clover in-store setup requires supported authorization and terminal capability; online credentials alone do not enable a POS terminal.
  • If provider onboarding is not configured, the screen explains that setup is unavailable.

Troubleshooting

Choose the symptom that matches what you see.

The provider card is disabled

Use a currently available provider or contact MintLGS with the channel and displayed message.

Clover appears online but not in POS

Check the in-store support message and terminal setup rather than re-entering online credentials.
