Point of Sale
Sign in and choose a POS location and station
Choose the inventory location and register you will use for this POS session.
Before you start
- Dashboard → Point of Sale → MintLGS POS
- Your account needs permission to take POS payments. Discounts, transaction history, refunds, station settings, and cash-drawer actions may require additional permissions.
What success looks like
- POS uses the location’s inventory and the selected station’s payment and hardware assignments. Check the location in the header and the station under More → Hardware or More → Cash drawer.
Quick start
The shortest path through this area.
- 1Open Point of Sale and sign in with your staff email address and password.
- 2On Select Location, click the location you are working from. If a previous location is offered, you can use Continue with that location.
- 3If Select Checkout Station appears, select your counter or register. A location with only one available station selects it automatically. Use Choose another location to go back when that control is shown.
- 4Check the location and payment-terminal status in the POS header before adding items. More → Hardware and More → Cash drawer show the selected station. Use the location control to switch locations later.
- 5When you finish, select More → Sign out. If the session locks after inactivity, enter the signed-in account’s password and click Unlock.
Troubleshooting
Choose the symptom that matches what you see.
How do I switch stations or locations?
Finish or hold the current sale before switching. In POS, click the location name in the header (Change location). If the station list opens first, select a station there, or click Choose another location to change locations. On Select Location, choose the location, then select its station. A single available location or station may be selected automatically. Choosing a different location clears the current cart. Check the selected station under More → Hardware before taking payment.
No Locations Available
Check that a location exists and is active in Warehouses and that the account has the required access.
Session Locked rejects the password
Use the password for the signed-in staff account. The lock does not create a separate PIN.
