Add or edit a Carousel section
Create a slideshow with an image, text, and optional link on each slide. Choose how people move between slides and whether the slideshow advances automatically.
Before you start
- Content → Pages → page editor → Carousel
- You need Pages: View permission to open this section. Creating, editing, or deleting a page requires the corresponding Create, Edit, or Remove permission.
What success looks like
- The section is saved with the page. Customers see it when the page is published.
Quick start
The shortest path through this area.
- 1In Content → Pages, open the page. Drag Carousel from Add sections onto the canvas, or click Edit on an existing Carousel.
- 2Click Add slide, or select an existing slide. Choose its image, enter Image description, Headline and Supporting text, and add Button text and Destination if you want a link. Repeat for the other slides.
- 3Check the Desktop, Tablet and Mobile previews. Click Apply to page, then Save in the page editor. To show the page to customers, select Published and save it.
- 4Within a slide, use Move earlier or Move later to change its order. Use Remove slide to remove it when there is more than one slide. Click Back to return to the slide list.
- 5Under Carousel settings, open Appearance to choose Page section or Lead banner, height and image darkening.
- 6Under Carousel settings, open Movement and controls to set previous/next buttons, slide indicators and automatic rotation. If rotation is on, choose the time on each slide.
- 7A slide also has image fit, text placement, colors and a Make the entire slide clickable option. Apply the section and save the page after further edits. Use Preview to check the saved result.
- 8To leave a section without applying edits, click Cancel and, if prompted, Discard changes.
How this area works
Reference information for the choices on this page.
Fields and options
- Time on each slide: Sets how long each slide stays visible when automatic movement is enabled.
- Per-slide colors: Each slide can have its own headline, supporting-text, button, and button-text colors.
- Image fit: Fill frame may crop the image. Show full image keeps it entirely visible but may leave space around it.
