Add a dropdown menu

Group related header links under one menu label. Add links inside the dropdown, then arrange them in the order you want customers to see.

Before you start

  • Content → Navigation
  • You need Edit permission for Branding, Navigation & Testimonials.

What success looks like

  • Customers can open the dropdown to see the links grouped beneath its label.

Quick start

The shortest path through this area.

  1. 1Open Content → Navigation. Under Header Navigation, click Add Item → Dropdown. Enter Dropdown Label and click Add Dropdown.
  2. 2Click the arrow beside the new dropdown to expand it. Click Add child item and choose a destination. Repeat for each link you want inside the group.
  3. 3Click Save Changes at the top of Navigation. Open the storefront menu on desktop and mobile, open the dropdown, and check its links.
  4. 4Only if needed, use the drag controls to reorder child links, Edit to change a label, or Delete to remove a menu link. Click Save Changes again after these edits. Removing a link does not delete its destination.

Troubleshooting

Choose the symptom that matches what you see.

A link is outside the dropdown

Delete the misplaced menu link. Expand the intended dropdown, click Add child item, and add the same destination there. Click Save Changes and check the storefront menu. This removes only the menu link, not its destination.

Move a link out of the dropdown

Expand the dropdown and Delete the child menu link. Under Header Navigation, click Add Item and add the same destination at the top level. Click Save Changes and check the storefront menu. This removes only the menu link, not its destination.
